A few weeks ago we sat down with our new intern Frederick to learn more about him and his interests. This week we’ll check in with our other intern BriElle Achterhof and find our her background.
Hi BRIELLE! WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?
I am originally from Orland Park Illinois and studied Audio Arts and Acoustics with a concentration in audio for film at Columbia College Chicago.
what grabbed your interest in sound for television & film?
I was always a visual learner and my attention was grabbed when I started to work on post audio projects in college. I like how post audio for film has so many layers to it that all come together.
What are you most excited to learn from your internship?
Im excited for the hands on experience I will be able to do and am looking forward to having a more thorough understanding of the post production process.
What's the craziest or favorite sound you have ever heard?
My favorite sound would have to be the twinkle sound in the Back to the Future movies and craziest is the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park.
what was your favorite animated character growing up
Scooby Doo.
