We're excited to wrap up another year here at Boom Box Post!
Holiday episodes are A LOT of fun, and we have had the luxury of working on several in 2016. Our first was a fantastic episode of Nickelodeon's The Loud House, 11 Louds A Leapin.' Supervising Sound Editor Jeff Shiffman assigned our intern Carol Ma to record a selection of holiday gift props, including wrapping paper, tree ornaments and strings of lights. Jeff and The Loud House sound effects and foley editor Tess Fournier used these custom recordings to create a selection of holiday sound effects for 11 Louds a Leapin,' a heartwarming episode featuring antics such as sneaking into a grouchy neighbors house, setting traps for reindeer and a hectic, speedy gift unwrapping session. You can see this exciting episode for free on Nick.com
Supervising Sound Editor Kate Finan worked with sound effects editors Brad Meyer and Makenzie Kellerman on the holiday episode of Ryan Quincy's Future-Worm!, in which our heroes Danny, a boy who loves future science, and Future Worm, a worm from the future, save the village of Snordville and it's adorable inhabitants, the Snords, from the evil gobbler. Ryan and the Future Worm team even sent us this festive Snordfest card, thanks guys! You can catch the always hilarious Future-Worm! on Disney XD and select episodes on the Disney XD youtube channel.
The team from Nickelodeon brought us a unique challenge this year with their first original animated TV movie: Albert. Jeff wrote all about our process for bringing this rich world of walking, talking plants to life in his blog post, where he discusses in detail the process of creating a digital foley workflow for Albert. You can watch Albert on Nick.com here.
We wrapped up the year with our traditional Boom Box Post Holiday Photo Shoot, ugly sweaters mandatory. Check the results below!
