In our first year of business, we were so excited to announce that the sound team behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles earned a Golden Reel nomination for Best Sound Editing in TV Animation. It was an honor to have been recognized by the Motion Picture Sound Editors Guild among many other talented sound teams.
Before the awards, the team decided to meet downtown and enjoy the views and tasty beverages at the Perch restaurant rooftop lounge. We met up with some other very talented editors and good friends and toasted a great year in creative sound design.
At the awards, it was a thrill to see the amazingly creative reel from Career Achievement honoree Skip Lievsay and to hear director Darren Aronofsky talk about how important sound editorial is to his work. The team didn't win this year, but we extend a big congratulations to the sound editors behind Star Wars Rebels and hope to see everyone again next year!
