Over the course of this winter, Boom Box Post has diligently worked on a number of new shows and special projects. We are proud to announce that two feature films that we worked on are now streaming! They were both a blast to sound design and mix, and we are incredibly excited to be able to share them with the world!
Congratulations to the Boom Box Post team for being nominated for three Children’s and Family Emmy Awards this year! We are so proud of all of our editors, and all of the hard work they put in. We are so honored to have been nominated, and congratulations to all the winners!

Congratulations to the Boom Box Post team for winning the Golden Reel for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing — Non-Theatrical Animation for their work on Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie! We are so honored to have won this award, especially in such a competitive year.
October was a very busy month for us here at Boom Box Post, as we finished packing up our 211 W Palm Ave office. The final goodbye was on November 1st; and while 211 W Palm Ave has been a homebase for our Boom Box Post team these past 7 years, we are beyond excited to move into our new location and create more memories together.
With only a week left in June, we crossover the halfway point of 2021 and enter the second half of the year. So far in 2021 we have worked on a handful of amazing new projects, all of which we are extremely proud of and excited to share with you.
March marks 1 full year of lockdown and WFH for most of the world, including the Boom Box Post team. It took some creativity and planning, but over this past tremulous year our team was able to virtually come together for some team building fun! Take a look at some of the activities we held to help us stay connected.
With the protests that have erupted after the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and the countless other African Americans that have experienced police brutality, a conversation about general inequality and lack of representation in the entertainment industry has bubbled to the surface once more. It is a sore subject for many and there is no easy solution to tackle the issue, but it is a necessary conversation.
We, at Boom Box Post, are among the lucky ones. Because we work in animation and our clients aren’t on set, our entire Los Angeles client-base was able to transition very quickly to work-from-home, thus keeping our operations alive and well. That is far from the case for our live-action counterparts. But, that doesn’t mean that we haven’t also seen changes in the amount and type of work that has come through our now-virtual door.

Boom Box Library proudly presents its first release of the Robotic Creations Collection: The Heads Up Display SFX Library & Sound Design Toolkit!
We have a big announcement to make: we are branching out from our post production sound business, Boom Box Post, and have created our own sound effects library company, Boom Box Library. This has been a long-time dream of ours, and we are immensely excited to finally see it making its debut in the coming weeks.
Johnathan Lopez recently joined the Boom Box team as our new assistant editor and office manager. Johnathan was a stellar Boom Box intern, and we are thrilled to have him back to work with us again.
